"Faith is not a problem to be solved, but a gift to be discovered" Archbishop Vincent Nichols
At the heart of the Sixth Form curriculum is the exploration of Catholicism and encouraging students to follow their individual faith journeys.
To ensure that they all have access to Religious Education and Citizenship all students have General RE which has gospel values at it's core and tries to ensure that all students are given the opportunity to explore issues concerning faith, ethics and morality. Our hope is that no young person leaves the Sixth Form without the skills needed to make informed decisions based on understanding rather than ignorance, as they progress to higher education or employment.
In order to equip the students with the necessary life skills needed for the next stage of their journey and the challenges that face young people today, we also provide education on various topical issues ranging from relationships, to substance abuse.
Through the vehicle of citizenship all aspects of higher education are dealt with, from the UCAS process, to Gap Years and Student Finance.
We would like to see students actively engaging in the contents of Citizenship and General RE, so as such this website has a variety of resources and links to support both students and parents.
We do hope that all students find these courses engaging, challenging and relevant.
